About Dr. Negron

Dr. Ricardo Negron, DPM, is a fellowship trained foot and ankle physician/surgeon. He is a former competitive collegiate athlete who understands the desire to return to activity/competition as early as possible. His treatment philosophy focuses on managing patients, conservatively and surgically, based on the activity level of the  patient and their goals of care. He practices evidence based medicine and empowers his patients to actively participate in their treatment goals.

Dr. Negron is originally from Erie, PA but feels very blessed and excited to be in Southern California. He moved to California to play collegiate waterpolo while attending the University of La Verne. He received his medical education at Samuel Merritt University School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, CA. He then remained in the Bay Area to complete his residency training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center, San Francisco. He received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstruction as well as diabetic limb salvage/wound care. Dr. Negron decided to continue his education and pursue fellowship training in sports medicine.

Although Dr. Negron specialized in treating sports injuries, he enjoys practicing all aspects of podiatric medicine and believes that most foot and ankle pathology is related to sports medicine. Dr. Negron is fluent in Spanish and will see and treat patients for any foot/ankle pathology including: heel pain, ingrown toenails, warts, bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot deformities, as well as diabetic foot care/wounds.

Dr. Negron enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, Mayra and their daughter,  Ciyanna. They like to take adventures to the beach, amusement parks, hiking in the mountains, and traveling when possible. He also enjoys maintaining his physical health with frequent exercise and golfing.
